What's Down That Street?

Exploring small cities and their less touristy back streets is something I look forward to when traveling. What is around that corner, behind that door, down that alley, down that street? What can I see and learn if I just look forward, past this spot, move forward in my journey and my life? Travel is a release, but a way to grow, whether it be a major excursion to a foreign land, or a visit to a regional historical city like St. Augustine, Florida. The small, quiet back streets of the historic city of St. Augustine have always been an inspiration to paint in watercolor, capturing the deep shadows and brilliant light. The watercolor medium helps me capture that immediate moment of things to come.
